For family fun, the Sci-Port Discovery center features more than 200 hands-on exhibits and programs for all ages, eight interactive discovery areas, an IMAX Dome Theater, daily shows and demonstrations, gift shop and cafe. Then, at the Stage of Stars Museum, Elvis has come back to the building, where his career really started. That place is a music museum at the Municipal Auditorium. Elvis Presley first performed there on the Louisiana Hayride in 1954. The museum commemorates him, and many more legends in their own rights, including stars like Hank Williams, Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash, Kitty Wells and Slim Whitman.
